Mono Art & Design just recently had their grand opening, in between Ferenciek and Astoria. It was renovated and the space has been extended to a larger area which houses Hungarian designer clothing and jewelry collections, furniture and is an art gallery. I went to check out the multi-functional location and loved the concept of the design worlds merging together in this one space. I will go again as the opening night was very busy! Check out the photos:
This is pretty much my 'go to' outfit combination for the weekend. Check out the links below on where you can find the clothing... today is a Mango kind of Sunday. Happy Weekend!
You may also know her for her "Don't Fear the Nipple" campaign (Anja is the Polish equivalent of Rihanna as she pushes the boundaries) which she started when she was removed from Instagram for her revealing and suggestive photos online. Set that aside, Anja Rubik, the Polish modeling icon and Poland's Next Top Model star, has graced the covers of Vogue, Elle and Harper's Bazaar just to name a few. Inspiring women for years, now it is her turn to draw upon her own style: the Polish top model decided to take another step forward and create her first full clothes and accessories collection, especially for Mohito. It is one of the most awaited collaborations for the Polish company. Anja Rubik for Mohito is a collection which perfectly reflects the modeling icon's style. Nonchalant city style joined with personal interpretation of the last trends resulted in the limited Exclusive Collection, available at MOM Park in Budapest.
The Making of the Collection
Rather than a traditional collection, I would like to present a set of iconic, fashion forward basics for the season. Thoughtfully designed and curated, the ready-to-wear and accessories are pieces I feel that every woman should have in her wardrobe; both refined staples and chic statement pieces. All of the pieces are intended to be mixed, layered and paired together, creating an effortless classic vibe with a cool modern twist. Each piece reflects my personal style and my key go-to favorites with influence from the top trends of the season. From simple sleek and over-sized minimalist shapes to stand out animal prints and fringe, the collective vibe speaks to a cool femininity and a tough sexiness.
The Garden Studio is a lovely showroom, not far away from Deak Ference and Astoria (right across the street from Gerloczy Cafe and Restaurant), which feature Hungarian designers Dori Tomcsanyi's Fall/Winter 2014 collection and KELE clothing. Alongside Dori's creations, you will also find the Danish brand Wood Wood's 'Hero' collection hats, Swedish brand SANDQVIST, YKRA rucksacks, Toms, Jujj jewelry and many more. You can also find adorable things for small children, such as games and cute pillows and toys, clothing and the smallest shoes. This showroom is worth checking out and on the map for those interested in starting their Christmas shopping early.
