I've been seeing a lot of fur being worn lately in the city and so I wanted to do a little searching today in some second hand shops in the 5th district, to see what was available. As fur can be very expensive, and not something that I would normally want to buy, I still went to look and took some photos of the jackets and coats that were the most decent looking and the best price for the quality of the materials used. Normally, a brand new fur jacket or coat can range from $500 upward of $10,000; however, in the second hand shops here, you can find fur for well under $200. In Canada, I normally don't see people wearing furs, as most people find the wearing of fur to be cruel (people gravitate towards wool, shearling, alpaca and mohair), but the attitude towards wearing fur in Europe is slightly different. Please note that I do not own any of these fur coats and that the images have clearly been through a Photoshop program to give you an idea of the look, which can be also attained with faux fur as well. You can make your own choice, to wear or not to wear fur, I'm simply presenting you with a bit of fun that my friends and I had in Budapest whilst trying on the coats at the second hand shop.
