ELLE FASHION SHOW 2017

This year, the fifth Elle Hungary Fashion Show takes us to the future! Paris once again makes a move to Budapest for two days, April 28 and 29th for the Elle Fashion Show. This is the 5th time that ELLE HUNGARY is organising the event, with a take on the spirit of a futuristic approach. In addition to revealing the young French designers, emerging talents and renowned Hungarian AW 2017/18 collections will be presented at Millenáris.

"This year's fashion show is unique in that it is built around the theme of the future and industrial environments conjuring the runway. On Friday, three young French designers will open the day, Mirat Cyril, Shaleva Couture and David Wong, along with professional and emerging Hungarian designers who have been chosen to represent their next seasons' collections. The runway will host Hungarian favourites: Kata Szegedi, NUDE by NUBU, Tomcsányi, as well as brand new dresses from the brand Whispering Wind and new handbag designer, Sophie by Chance. The Elle Fashion Show takes you into the world of contrasts this year, the past and the future - the industrial and soft features and duality will appear on the catwalk."

The Parisian fashion designers will show truly unique and creative outfits on the catwalk; the Shaleva Couture collection was inspired by Disney's famous animated film, Alice in Wonderland. David Wong dresses the modern male in a wardrobe combining American, Asian and Italian ways, where street style and tailoring combine elements of quality. Mirat Cyril wants our world to be connected to the spiritual and the mystical touches to draw attention to our everyday lives, showing the masks we wear. The collection combines sportswear, basketball and urban style clothing.

From the Hungarian designers, Dóri Tomcsányi will make this season well-known for mixing style with retro feelings. The latest collection from Whispering Wind will be intertwined with minimalism, soft touches and feminine lines. Young designer from Sophie Chance bags represents glamour and elegance. Kata Szegedi combines art with fashion, finding contemporary inspiration from artists from the past (pictured below with Henri Matisse). Contemporary French architect Jean Nouvel's design was the inspiration behind the NUDE by NUBU pieces, while the autumn/winter collection from CAKÓ is characterized by contrasts, horizontal and diagonal cuts.
