MBFWCE DAY 1

Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week Central Europe has kicked off in Budapest yesterday, with shows at the Varkert Bazar. Thanks to the strategic agreement signed by Design Terminal and Mercedes-Benz, Budapest is hosting its very first Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. This is a co-production between the expert teams behind three-year-old Central European Fashion Days and Toni&Guy Fashion Week Budapest.

The objective of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Central Europe (MBFWCE) is to offer Central Europe’s most talented designers - from Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Serbia and Croatia, a quality platform to showcase their collections in Budapest. One of the biggest advantages of Mercedes-Benz’s title sponsorship is its potential to attract  the attention of international experts - buyers, journalists - whose attendance could, in turn, bring featured designers new professional relationships and collaboration opportunities while also building their international reputation.

The grand-scale final of the Gombold Újra! Central Europe competition will remain a highlight of the event series. The closing gala will feature the collections of the twenty shortlisted finalists, followed by the awards ceremony itself. Here are photos from the first day of MBFWCE. Enjoy!
