The Elle Fashion Shows were full of Hungarian designers and although I was unable to stay for the entirety of the day, I managed to see three of the designers: Maison Marquise, Nude by Nubu and Zigi from the Hungarian designer's showcase. Each designer brought a completely different style, look and feel to their Autumn/Winter 2015 collections and a variety of women would be able to fit these styles.
Maison Marquise showed very elegant designs with great tailoring, patterns and I could see myself wearing everything from this collection in the workplace, at an elegant event or evening out. The styles were classic with beautiful patterns, toned down with black sleeves or block coloured tops, fur accessories or overcoats.
Nude by Nubu had clearly been inspired by Asian culture with their signature wrap style kimono tops, baggy trousers and geometric designs found on belts, bags, shoes and accessories. I absolutely loved the printed cirlce/dotted tops and the pairing with goggles. It definitely added a bit of fun and laughter to the serene and somewhat serious shapes of the designs.
Lastly, we can see that Zigi brought a lot of confidence to the runway with over-sized coats which can be pulled off by those who aren't afraid to get 'swallowed in them'. I personally enjoyed the patterns on the dresses and the frills on the backs of the shirts and dresses and the curved edges of the skirts and dresses. Overall, I was very impressed with all the designers and found that the designers created unique, beautiful and universal designs for the modern woman. Enjoy the photos!
Thank you again to Elle Hungary for the invitation! This was a fantastic event and I am looking forward to next seasons shows!
