ELLE FASHION SHOW: PARISIAN DESIGNERS

With the number of fashion events that have recently been popping around the city of Budapest it has been a challenge to get to each and every one of them these past couple of months. I've been busy with my personal and work life as well, so my posts have not been as frequent either. However, with another big fashion event at the Varkert Bazar, I simply could not pass it up. Knowing that the Parisian designers were back in the city, I had to go check out their collections and revisit the designs of my favourite Hungarian brands as well. A special thank you goes to Elle Magyarorszag for the invitation. I was pleasantly surprised by the change in the atmosphere since the last fashion event Toni & Guy Fashion Week Budapest was held at the newly renovated bazar, as this event was on a much grander scale - the whole of the bazar was opened up to the public and it was absolutely crowded to the brim with attendees. Loads of sponsors had booths - ranging from Nivea, Hungaria Champagne, Somersby, L'Oreal, Mazda, Gas Jeans, Marks & Spencer, Marianna Herrhofer and Pelote. There were opportunities to win prizes, gift packs and a game which I participated in which gave me 1000 forints off the purchase of a lovely Spark Swarovski crystal bracelet.

Overall, the event was well organized by Elle Hungary with lots of attendees and a great charity contribution towards breast cancer!

The Parisian designers brought a certain element of 'French woman classic designs' along with them to Budapest this weekend. The designs were crisp, tailored, structured and sometimes a little see-through. Great women's suits and overcoats with pops of colour from Etienne Deroeux, wonderful blouses and boot combinations with yellow chunky heels from Lea Peckre and a 1970's feeling with fantastic shoe pairings from Valentine Gauthier. Take a look at the photos of the Autumn/Winter 2015 collections from the Parisian designers. Enjoy!
