Sunsets are my escape into the reality I want to continuously live.

Have you ever wondered what makes a sunset special? Is it the way the bursts of gold and lavender melt into one another, looking as if they have been mixed together with the smooth stroke of a paintbrush? Is it the proof that the end of something can also be inspiring and beautiful? Or that in order for us to begin again, something must end? Perhaps it is the motion of walking along the seashore and feeling the sand and water wash over your feet as you look for hope in the heavens?

The more you envision the sounds, memories, sights and emotions which move you when being in the presence of a sunset, the more you can understand the vision that Anita Benes, the designer of Daalarna, has imagined for the SUNSET collection. Daalarna unveiled the latest bride and evening dresses collection, SUNSET, on April 13th and the moment before, created a tranquil excitement.

"The idea of the SUNSET collection is about how important it is to experience the moments in our lives that go by as as quickly as a sunset. We went to Reunion island to take photos for the campaign, where we could experience the kind of transience in nature and the fact that things are flying into the world for a moment; if we do not pay close enough attention, they are already gone."

Whenever you want to see me, look at the sunset and I will always be there.

The idea of capturing moments, however, was not just wandering around dresses and weddings. The vision was to evoke a feeling and mood at the Millenáris event location and the guests were all pleasantly surprised with a beautifully changing sunset wall, which sparked moments of delight in our intensified pace of everyday life; taking them us out of the usual monotony.

The sandy shoreline and the movement of the waves of the ocean spilled like a magic carpet to such feelings, so that even minutes could have passed by and the audience was able to forget this was all a background, before the models appeared.
