SYRACUSA

I've been looking through photos and realized that I had not posted about the beautiful city, Syracuse, when I was in Sicily last year! It has been sitting in my drafts for a year now...
I should have paid a bit more attention to 'dressing for the Sicilian weather' as I thought it would be raining during our stay, but it was clearly sunny, warm and absolutely stunning, 'feels like summer' weather. I need to pack some lighter clothes next time when I travel south! Temperatures reached above 27 degrees Celcius and I couldn't have asked for a more cultured and relaxing trip to beautiful Syrcacusa, Italia. There is so much to see and read up on, with influences from Romans, Greeks and Arabic people settling on this island. The fresh sea food is a must and I even tried something which I said I certainly wouldn't normally even touch: sea urchin pasta. Was surprisingly delicious!

PARADISE: DAALARNA 2017

Every young woman preparing for her wedding wishes to be the most glamorous woman on Earth and searches for the perfect dress to make her feel beautiful. Modern brides desire sensual, elegant, feminine wedding dresses that exalt their inner and outer beauty, form their body and make them feel special. With unique technology and special fabrics, Daalarna dresses bring the beauty out of each bride by enhancing their best features.

The Daalarna dress consists specially of the classic 19th century traditional style corset with the latest developments of the 21st century. The corsets are hand-made and formed specifically to the body in order to create a slender waist and are equipped with special boning that ensures a great posture. The fabric tightly follows the line of the body and does not wrinkle. Most of Daalarna's dresses have lacing on the back, which is a beautiful detail in itself. The bridal gowns also have a variety of attachable skirts which are custom designed to the wearer's body.

The newest evening collection, Paradise, includes fabrics which resemble colourful birds fluttering and floating around the rainforest. With bird hummings heard in the background, Daalarna's 2017 fashion show brought its guests into the tropics and made me crave the warmth of the Peruvian sun.
