I have had Cyprus on my mind for quite some time now and luckily enough, we experienced this beautiful island along with amazing weather last week. A direct flight from Budapest to Larnaca takes three hours and to drive from East to West of the island takes about 3.5 hours total. There are plenty of places to stop along the way and our first stop was the village of Pissouri, on the Greek part of the island, in between Paphos and Limassol. There is Pissouri village, which is up on a hill, and Pissouri Bay, where the tourists stay. This is a very calm area, as March/April are not the high season, but certainly in the summer there are more visitors. Wonderful sights, absolutely clean water, stone beaches (sandy beaches can be found on the Turkish part of the island) and luxurious hotels.
